Funeral services for Gregory Louis Perkins will be held 12:00 PM Friday, February 17, 2023 at Riser Funeral Home in Columbia, LA with Bro. Jack McKeithen officiating and Interment will follow at Welcome Home Cemetery, under the direction of Riser and Son. Visitation will be held Friday, February 17, 2023 from 9:00 AM to time of service at 12:00 PM. Greg was born October, 17, 1957 in Columbia, LA to the union of his parents, Ira Perkins and Patsy Gregory Perkins and passed from this life on February 12, 2023 in New Orleans, LA. Greg was a simple man. In his earlier years, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and watching tv. Greg served four years in the Navy, and then worked until he retired. Greg was preceded in death by his parents, and his maternal grandparents, Madeline and Jimmy Gregory. Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Rodney Smith (Tracy); and his brother, Mike Perkins.
