Glenda Faye Smith Moreno was born February 25, 1942, in Brookhaven, MS and passed from this life on June 1, 2026, in Grayson, LA. Glenda retired from the Kelly Water System, where she worked as their secretary for many years. She also worked at Moreno Insurance and was a draftsperson for the state highway department. She received her LPN degree and put her skills to use to minister to others on mission trips to underprivileged countries. She was a member of Cross Roads Baptist Church until her health prevented her from attending. Glenda loved Jesus and loved to tell others about her Savior. Glenda was a survivor! She lived through a gunshot wound during a hunting accident, a plane crash while on a mission trip in Honduras, and a brave hard-fought battle with cancer. She enjoyed working in her yard, growing flowers, and taking care of her cats. Glenda was a loving daughter, sister, wife, and mother but her favorite title was that of "Memom" to her beloved grandchildren. She was loved dearly by her family. They will miss her terribly but will treasure the many memories of time spent with her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alva Andrew Smith and Sybil Virginia Smith; her husband, Clarence Moreno; and her grandchildren, Kelli Lynn Evans and Christopher Paul Moreno.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Amy Gayle White (Roddy), Ricky Gayle (Pam) and Duane Moreno (Lisa); sister, Betty Smith Starnes (Jimmy); grandchildren: Jasmine Swett (Michael), Christy White Stevens (Bradley), Dylan Moreno (Chance), Aaron Moreno (Mykala), Macey Moreno (Trisler), Trey White (Tara), Brandon Kirby, and Christopher Brister (Stacey); grandchildren: Triston Evans (Jerrah), Adrianna Evans Schmitz (Camron), Kade Swett, Kole Swett, Drake Fitzgerald, Neely Frazier, Lakelynn Denison, Reagan Stevens, Emeryson Moreno, Grayson Moreno, Henley Moreno, Brennan White, Hayden White, Taylor White and Emmett White; and her special friend, John Parker.
