Funeral services for Mr. Gary Bruce Kenney age 64 of Columbia will be held 2PM Sunday Nov. 30, 2008 from the Columbia Chapel of Riser Funeral Home . Officiating will be Rev. Eric Harriman. Interment will follow in the Columbia Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sat. afternoon from 4PM to 9Pm at the Riser Funeral Home in Columbia. Gary Bruce Kenney was born on March 11, 1944 at Wisner, La. to the union of his parents L.J. "Bud" Kenney and Laura Lucille Mabry Kenney. The heavens opened and the angels guided our cherished loved one through the gates of heaven to live in eternal peace with the Lord our Savior on Thursday November 27, 2008. Bruce was preceded in death by his father, by his brother Billy Kenney, and by his niece Pamela Kenney.Bruce was a n airplane pilot, and was owner and operator of GBK Barges Inc. He was a Vietnam era Veteran. Survivors include-His wife: Mrs. Margaret Kenney of Columbia. Two Children:Michelle Garyan Kenney-Morton and Spencer Kevin Kenney both of Columbia.Three Grand children:Tom Kenney Morton, Gabriel Spencer Morton, and Tyler Catherine Kenney. Mother: Mrs. Lucille Mabry Kenney of Columbia. Brother Lelon Kenney and his wife Loretta of Columbia.Niece: Sherry Kenney of Columbia. Great Niece Katherine Patterson.
