Gary Wayne Jones, JR

Funeral services for Gary Wayne Jones, JR, age 45 of Grayson, will be held 10:00 AM, Friday, May 24, 2024, from the sanctuary of Christians Sharing Christ Baptist Church, Clarks, LA with Bro. Dean Love and Bro Larry Adkins officiating. Interment will follow in the Old Bethel Cemetery at Clarks with services under direction of Riser & Son Funeral Home of Columbia. The Jones' Family will receive visitors at the church on Thursday, May 23, 2024, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

Gary Wayne Jones, JR was born on March 28, 1979, at Columbia, LA to the union of Gary Wayne Jones, SR and Brenda Kay Baum Jones, and he passed  from this life on Monday, May 20, 2024, in Morehouse Parish following a sudden illness.

Gary's life career was that of a "Big Rig Driver". He loved his job greatly. Other than family, the greatest love of his life was playing musical instrument's and there was nothing he couldn't play. He even played the National Anthem at his high school graduation on his guitar. Gary was a "Jack of All Trades, and a Master of None but yet a Master of All." Gary also loved Oregamic's. Gary loved his family and loved his fur babies. His "Fur Babies" were his children.

Gary was preceded in death by his Infant - Angel Baby that he named Emmanuel Jones; by his father-in-law, Shannon Laffoon; and his grandparents: Elizabeth and Thomas Baum, and Shirley and Harvey Moody.

He is survived by his wife, Katie Laffoon Jones; parents, Brenda and Gary Jones, SR of Clarks; his beloved Fur Babies: Molly "PooPoo", Athena and Arty; his brother, Samuel Jones (Layla) of Grayson; his sister, Anissa Boyd (Brian), of Clarks, three nieces: Kaitlyn Boyd, Emma Rae Jones and Ava Lee Jones; and four nephews: Mathew Black, Asher Laffoon, Layton Laffoon and Andrew Boyd.

Serving as pallbearers will be Brian Boyd, Andrew Boyd, Jordan Laffoon, Steven Black, Larry Wayne Adkins, JR ,William Adkins, Sloan Wyles and Bob Adkins. Honorary pallbearers include Mathew Black, Asher Laffoon and Layton Laffoon.
