Faye White Hart

Funeral services for Faye White Hart will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 28, 2026, from the sanctuary of the Apostolic Truth Tabernacle, Grayson, LA with Rev. Wesley Manning officiating. Interment will follow at Little Star Cemetery, Kelly, LA, under the direction of Riser and Son Funeral Home. The family will have visitation at the church on Friday, February 27, 2026, from 5 PM until 8 PM.

Faye was born August 26, 1940, in Kelly, Louisiana, to the union of her parents, Julian E. Martin and Lottie Grant Martin, and she passed from this life on February 25, 2026, in Lafayette, Louisiana, surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 42 years, Dempsey Hart; her husband of 6 years, Al White; brother, Julian Bryant “Buck” Martin; sister, Lillian Martin; nephew, Bryant Martin; stepson, Ronald White; and stepdaughter, Barbara Bolton.

Faye and her husband, Dempsey founded Hart’s Glass where they worked together for many years, creating a successful and much needed business in Caldwell Parish. She was an active member of The Pentecostal Church, Clarks, LA. She loved her church and her church family. Faye loved to cook. Her family and many friends enjoyed gathering around her table for good food and fellowship. The holidays were always special at her house and made even better if she cooked one of her delicious Italian Cream cakes. Faye loved working in her yard. She spent many hours making sure her flower beds were weeded and looking their best. Her greatest love was her family. She loved having her children and grandchildren at her home and she would open her doors for their friends as well. She was a grandmother to all who crossed her threshold, loving on them all with a Christ-like love. Her faith was evident in all aspects of her life.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Marty Hart (Sharon); daughter, Debbie D’Augereaux (Marlin); stepdaughters: Angie Champagne (Louis) and Glenda Pilcher; brother, James “Bozo” Martin (Eulalia); sister, Susie Johnson (Jerry); grandchildren: Megan Fontenot (Ike), Kyle Hart (Ashton); Derek Barksdale (Heather) and Rev. Wesley Manning (Charla). She had 14 great-grandchildren, with 2 on the way, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Serving as pallbearers will be Kyle Hart, Derek Barksdale, Ike Fontenot, Jeff Hooper, Konner Hooper, and Chadd Roberts. Honorary pallbearers are Roland Garcia Sr., Robert Clark, Alton Perry, and Lonnie Zeno.
