Fannie Ruth Shipp

Memorial services for Fannie Ruth Shipp, of Hebert, Louisiana, will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, January 3, 2026, from the sanctuary of Hebert Community Church, 696 Hwy 848, Hebert, LA (Columbia). 

Fannie Ruth Shipp was born January 1, 1952, in Clarks, Louisiana, to the union of her parents, Charles Archie Howell and Carrie Baker Howell. She passed away December 25, 2025, after an extended illness. She was 73 years old. Fannie was an active member of Hebert Community Church, where she taught children's Sunday School for many years. She loved working with children and was a babysitter for a time. She was employed as a sitter for adults who needed assistance with their daily activities. She loved helping others. She loved her church and her church family. She will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings: Evelyn Youngblood Beavers, Charles Robert Howell, Edna Youngblood Meredith and Doris Howell Taylor.

Fannie is survived by her daughter, Robin Howell Hudnall; grandchildren, Rebecca Hudnall and Ethan Masters; siblings: JA Howell, Estelle Howell Disotell, and Riley Howell; special friends, Jenny and Jimbo Fuller and their family; and her church family.
