Eual Edward Douglas, Jr. , affectionately known to many as “Hollywood,” died on September 15, 2026, in Olla, LA. He was born in Monroe on July 16, 1957, and will be remembered with love by those who knew him and by the family who shared in his life.
Hollywood built his life through steady hard work and versatility. After high school, he worked in the oil industry offshore and on land rigs. He later worked at LP, where he did a little bit of everything. His willingness to take on many kinds of work reflected a practical spirit and a strong commitment to providing through the years. Hollywood loved football with a passion, especially LSU and the Saints. He loved singing more than anything and sang all the time.
He is survived by his children, Eual Edward "Trey" Douglas III and Mitchell Douglas and daughter Patricia; his brother, Rod Douglas; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eual Edward Douglas, Sr. and Betty Ruth Free Douglas, and his brother, Charles Boyd Douglas.
Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation with the family at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 20, 2026, at Riser and Son Funeral Home in Olla, Louisiana. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 p.m.
