Ernestine "Rustie" Grant Teal

Funeral services for Ernestine "Rustie" Grant Teal, age 64 of Many, LA, will be held at 10 AM Monday, October 3, 2016 from the sanctuary of Riser Funeral Home, Columbia, LA. Interment will follow at Little Star Cemetery, Grayson, LA. Visitation will be Sunday, October 2, 2016 at Riser Funeral Home, Columbia from 5 PM to 8 PM. Mrs. Teal was born on April 20, 1952 in Columbia, LA to the union of her parents; Ausborn Randolph Grant, II and Ernestine Hazel Wilkes Grant and passed from this life on Thursday, September 29, 2016 at LA Extended Care Hospital in Natchitoches, LA. Ernestine worked as a LPN and a notary. She enjoyed sewing, doing crafts, listening to country music and cooking. Ernestine was extremely talented with writing songs, poems, singing and playing the guitar. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Cliff Teal; daughter, Toshi Harrison and brother, James Earl Grant. Those left to cherish her memory are fiance, Donald Thomas of Many; son, Daniel Teal of Many; son-in-law, Victor Harrison; brothers: Cleve Grant and wife, Tina of Monroe and Tommy Steele and wife, Amber of Winnfield; sisters: Tammy Grant Joseph of Norman, OK, Rita Lynn Steele of CO and Elaine Walsworth and husband, Mike of Monroe; grandchildren: Rustie Barker and husband, Beau, Shandy Harrison, Victor Harrison and Dillon Harrison; great-grandchildren: Mikey Dunbar, Allie Dunbar, Cassadee Allain, Chance Barker, Emmett Barker and Eli Barker; special nieces and nephews: Callie Grant, Kristen Myers, Glen Joseph, Matthew Joseph, T.J. Steele and Chain Steele. Pallbearers will be Beau Barker, John Allain, Victor Harrison, Sr., Victor Harrison, II, Dillon Harrison, Tommy Steele, T.J. Steele, Donald Thomas, Michael Slay.
