Ellen Marie McCowin

Ellen Marie McCowin, age 67 of Columbia was born on December 31, 1956, in Slidell, Louisiana to the union of her parents, the late Don Wilson and Peggy Weeks Wilson, and she passed from this life on June 22, 2024, at the Citizens Medical Center in Columbia following an extended illness. Ellen was preceded in death by her parents and by her daughter, Christal Meadors. 

Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Neal McCowin of Columbia; three daughters: Heather Branch (Brandon Twiner) of Alto, Kelly Lynn Simpson (Robert Glenn) of Eros, and Christa Nicole Boyd (Patrick) of Monroe; her step-son, Jimmy Ray Meadors (Kristi) of Arkansas; grandchildren: Jason Ryan Cain, Hunter Alan Cain, Payton McCowin, Reagan Boyd, and Rebecca Boyd; great-grandchildren, Glynn Alan Cain and Theodore Howard; her brothers, David Wilson and John Wilson; and her sister, Frances.

The McCowin Family will gather at 10:00 AM on Saturday June 29, 2024, at the Etier Cemetery at Hebert with Bro. Dub Weed officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:45 AM.
