Eddie Glenn Busby

Funeral services for Eddie Glenn Busby age 69 of Clarks will be held 2:00 PM Sunday January 11, 2026 from the sanctuary of Clarks Baptist Church with Bro. Jack McKeithen officiating. Interment will follow in the Old Union Cemetery west of Grayson under direction of Riser & Son Funeral Home of Columbia. The Busby Family will receive guests on Saturday January 10, 2026 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.

Eddie was born on  May 22, 1956 at Columbia, LA to the union of his parents, Perry Miles Busby and Evelyn Hopkins Busby. He passed from this life on January 8, 2026 at his residence in Clarks. Eddie worked in the logging woods for forty-six years as a skidder operator. Eddie and the entire Busby Family were no strangers to hard work. He always kept a roof over the family's head and saw that no one went hungry. He worked the majority of his career for the T M B Logging Company.  He was preceded in death by his wife Rebecca Starnes Busby, his parents,  his brother : Joe Busby and  two sisters: Bernice Girod and Leaome Hoke.

Left to cherish his memory is his life partner: Betty Baum; three daughters: Becky Simons (Carl),  Bobbie Busby (Justin) and Mary Beth Stapleton (Dusty); one son:  Bowdy Busby;  two step sons: James Baum, JR  and Thomas Wayne Baum; one brother:: Alfred Busby. He also leaves his grandchildren, the light of his life: Amber Floyd, Jeffery Simons, Stormi Cooker (Jacob), Milton Coldiron, Colton Stapleton, Caston Stapleton, Kayden Stapleton  and Haddox Stapleton; and one great grandson: Hunter Floyd.

Serving as pallbearers will be  Dustin Stapleton, Nick Stapleton, Jason Maxwell, Justin McMullen , Craig McMullen and Jimmy Busby .

Shane McMullen will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
