Graveside funeral services for Durrell Merwyn McGuffee, Sr. age 89 of Bastrop, LA.  will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at the Rosefield Cemetery in Catahoula Parish, LA, Rosefield Community. Bro Charles Martin will be officiating. The McGuffee Family will receive visitors from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at the cemetery.

Mr. McGuffee was born on  March 20, 1937, at Enterprise, Louisiana, to the union of his parents, Robert Durrell McGuffee and Alice Sones McGuffee. He passed from this life on May 8, 2026, at The Columns Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Bastrop. He was preceded in death by his parents and by two sons, Durrell McGuffee, Jr. and Jeff McGuffee. Mr. McGuffee retired with the U S Corp of Engineers.

He leaves behind his precious wife Mary Ann Coffey McGuffee; four grandchildren: Laura, Josh, Seth and Brett; and three great-grandchildren: Isabella, Brodie and Eliza.
