Services for Douglas "Doug" Delane Adams, age 70 of Sikes, will be 10 AM Monday, April 13, 2009 from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Columbia with Bro. Donald Dulaney and Bro. Frank Wood officiating. Interment will follow at Welcome Home Cemetery in Grayson. Visitation will be Sunday evening from 5 PM to 9PM at the funeral home. Mr. Adams was born in Sikes on December 14, 1938 to the union of Thomas Watson and Ruth Parker Adams and passed from this life on April 9, 2009 at LSU Medical Center in Shreveport. He attended Way of Grace Baptist Church in Winnfield. He was a manager for Cash and Carry, a wholesale food company. During the last years he has served as a deputy for Winn Parish Sheriff's Office. He was preceded in death by his parents, infant son; Lane Adams, two sisters, one brother and two nephews. Survivors include his wife of 21 years; Sue Crain Adams of Sikes, son; Randy Adams and wife, Pam of West Monroe, daughter; Tammy Adams Jordan of Monroe, three step-sons; Dixon Dulaney and wife, Debbie of Sikes, Donald Dulaney and wife, Penny of Sikes and Randall Dulaney of West Monroe, step-daughter; Susan Hearold of West Monroe, thirteen grandchildren; Chad Rice, Erica Broussard, Tanner Adams, Michael Jordan, Matthew Jordan, Jesse Dulaney, Gene Dulaney, Joseph Dulaney, Katelin Dulaney, Kristian Dulaney, Amy Hearold, Casey Hearold and Travis Hearold, great-grandchildren; Mallory Rice, Jayla Guerrero, Christine Dulaney and a fourth expected in September. Pallbearers will be David Herring, Stacey Wyles, Scott Zimmerman, Paul Alsup, Joseph Dulaney and Morgan Perry.
