Doris Frost Weeks

Funeral services for Doris Frost Weeks, of Grayson, will be held at 12:00 PM, Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at Grayson Baptist Church, with Bro. Joey Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Cross Roads Cemetery, Grayson. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10:00 AM until time of service at 12:00 PM at the church on Tuesday.

Doris was born on November 12, 1947, to the union of her parents, Otto Ovie Frost and Mary  Magdalene Downs Frost, and she passed to her heavenly home on September 19, 2026. She was an active member of Grayson Baptist Church and her presence there will be greatly missed. Doris was a woman who could do anything and everything. She loved to mow the yard and take care of the many animals they raised, especially her donkeys. She could handle minor plumbing and electrical jobs, grow beautiful flowers and vegetables, all while taking care of her family with an endless amount of love. She spent most of her life working with her husband to grow his insurance business but later began working at Riser and Son Funeral Home. She started as a hostess but quickly became indispensable in the office. She handled insurance claims and worked funerals, but mostly she was a caring sweet support for the many families who had lost loved ones. She had a knack for remembering details which was priceless when making sure everything got done on time. More than anything Doris loved her family. She talked of her grandchildren constantly and when her great-grandson was born, she was in love with that precious boy. She was a prayer warrior when it came to her family, constantly lifting them up in prayer. Doris was special to so many people and she will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Steven Weeks, and her brother, Leon Frost.

Those left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband of 60 years, Marvin Carroll Weeks; her son, Timothy Weeks (Amy); daughter-in-law, Stacy Weeks Arledge ( Glen ). 9  grandchildren: Macy Weeks James (Alex), Wyatt Weeks, Pistol Weeks and Ethan Weeks; her beloved great-grandson, Isaac Lee James; her siblings: Sue Frost Allen, Ruth Douthit (Ranzie); Paul Frost (Debbie), Robert Earl Frost (Sharon) and Glenn Frost (Barbara); sister-in-law, Mildred Frost; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Serving as pallbearers will be Anthony Weeks, John Weeks, Wyatt Weeks, Pistol Weeks, Ethan Weeks and Alex James. Honorary pallbearers are Mark May and all of Doris' coworkers at Riser Funeral Home.
