Riser Funeral Home Columbia, LA Obituary: Dora Fife Weed Services for Dora Fife Weed, age 77 of Hebert will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, July 5, 2008 from the Woolen Lake Church of God in Hebert with Rev David Tabora and Rev. Don Wright offitiating. Interment will follow in the Etier Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the church. Mrs. Weed was born in Mangham on September 4, 1930 to the union of E. J. and Ethel Crawford Fife and died Wednesday, July 2, 2008 at the St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe. She was a heath care provider and a member of the Woolen Lake Church of God. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband: Earlbert Weed, Sr., and her brother: Willie Fife. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law: Earlbert "Bo" and Diane Weed of Hebert, her daughter and son-in-law: Judy and Allen Maxwell of Hebert, her grandchildren: Nikki Clark and her husband: Coty of Hebert, Christy Carr and her husband: Eddie of Grayson, her great-grandchildren: Jeremiah Clark, Brooklyn Carr and Ethan Carr, her brothers: Van Fife and his wife: Betty of Hebert, her sister: Goldie Poole and her husband: Billy Joe of Hebert and her sister-in-law: Betty Jo Fife of Norman, OK and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Neal McGowan, Jason Maxwell, Randy Fife, Brian Fife, Keith Fife and Kenny Scott. Honorary pallbearers are Sonny Dyer, Dub Weed, Albert Scott, Eugene Vinson, Jimmy Strickland and Mike McGehee.
