Donna Faye Alger Ainsworth

Memorial services for Donna Faye Alger Ainsworth will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, October 23, 2026, at Riser Funeral Home, Columbia, LA. The family will begin visitation at 9:00 AM prior to the service.

Donna Faye was born November 19, 1946, to the union of her parents, Raleigh Broomfield McMurry and Rita Martino McMurry, and she passed from this life just before her 80th birthday, on October 15, 2026. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband A.J. Alger, and sister LaWanda Elliot. Donna was a registered nurse until she retired. She enjoyed her retirement and loved the time she able to just sit on her porch and drink coffee, read, or watch the many birds at her bird feeders. She enjoyed working in her flower garden. Her beloved dogs, Mitzi, Pritzi, and Dolly were always by her side. She loved her family greatly and loved every minute she spent with them. 

Those left to cherish her memory include her children: Robyn Alger, Ronnie Alger, Jim Alger, and Kevin Alger; sister, Juanece Johnson (Mike); her brothers: Glen McMurry (Anita) and Clinton McMurry (Liz); her beloved grandchildren: John Alger (Kristen), Jessica Alger, Dustin May, Karen Steele, Claire Thornton, Will Steele, Audie Alger, and Logan Alger; and her precious great-grandchildren: Kayla Alger, Jolene Alger, River May, Lakynn May, Rowan May, Wyatt Steele, Colten Thornton, McKenna Thornton, Riley Musgrave, AJ May, and Hudson Harrel. 

Honorary pallbearers will be John Alger, Dustin May, Will Steele, Wyatt Steele, Logan Alger, and Audie Alger.
