Dennis James Kees

Funeral services for Dennis James Kees, age 63 of Urania will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, July 8, 2023, from the Olla chapel of Riser & Son Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will follow in the Urania Cemetery at Urania.

Dennis James Kees was born on September 2, 1959, in La Salle Parish, LA to the union of his parents, James Frances Kees and Maggie Sue Barnum Kees, and passed from this life on July 6, 2023, at the LaSalle General Hospital in Jena. Dennis loved his family and friends and music played a huge part in his life. He played the guitar. He loved to listen to bands and he was also a wonderful artist. He will truly be missed with his unique and loving personality.

Left to cherish his memory is his daughter, Lillie Kees Allein (Cody) of Urania; his mother, Sue Barnum Kees of Urania; his sister, Phyllis Kees Rodriguez (Kern); his beloved granddaughter, Kairi Allein of Urania; and his nephew, Duane Batusic (Cindy).

In lieu of flowers the family suggests that any planned memorials be made to St. Jude Childrens Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.
