Deborah Lynn Jones Cox was born November 11, 1960 in Abiline, Texas to the union of her parents, Jerrall Jones and Elizabeth Griffin Jones and passed from this life June 12, 2026 at Ochsner LSU in Shreveport after a courageous fight with Cancer.
Debbie was a one of a kind. She loved and cherished her family, and enjoyed every moment spent with them, especially her grandbabies. Debbie spoiled them rotten and wouldn't have had it any other way. She liked decorating for all holidays, especially Halloween. Christmas and birthdays werre big events around Debbie's house, as it kept a smile on her face watching her grandchildren's happiness. She enjoyed listening to Gospel music, her jewelry, and shopping. Debbie was definitely a collector of many things. She had a talent when it came to her flowers. She could grow anything and her yard was always proof. Debbie piled the flowers anywhere she could and that kept Dale on his toes when it came to weed eating!
Debbie was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Carolyn Jones, and her son-in-law, John Little. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of forty-nine years, Dale Cox; her four girls: Christina Bratton (Lee), Melissa Crochet (Chris), Gail Little, and Becky Lee (Michel); her brothers: Lee Roy Jones (Cindy), Michael Jones (Carolyn), Kenneth Jones (Gwen); her sister, Darlene Hammons (James); grandchildren: Kirsten Cain (Dillon), Kelsey Clark (Matt), Kaleb Cox, Tristan Crochet, Landon Valure, Corbin Little, Coltin Little, Cooper Little, Cohen Little, Brianna Cox (Dylan Lee), Jestin Cox (Aliyah), and Mason Lee; great-grandchildre: Finley, Paisley, Karter, Weston, Waylon, Roslyn, Oaklynn, Rory, Jace, and two arriving soon, Lucas Reid Cox and Amelia Nell Clark; special niece, Ashley Adams; a host of nieces and nephews, as well as, her fur baby, Peanut, the son she never had.
Pallbearers will include Kaleb Cox, Tristan Crochet, Jestin Cox, Landon Valure, Corbin Little, Mason Lee, Coltin Little, Cooper Little, and Cohen Little. Honorary Pallbearers include Lee Bratton, Chris Crochet, and Michel Lee.
