Deanna Riser

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Deanna Riser, who left us on October 1, 2023, at the age of 63. She was born on July 30, 1960, to Lillian and Neil Riser in Columbia, Louisiana. She peacefully departed this world surrounded by her loved ones.

Deanna is survived by her mother, Lillian Riser Gentry; her sons, Justin Phillips (Chelsea) and Zachary Phillips (Darren); her siblings: Ramona Riser Martin, Neil Riser, Jr. (Vicki), and Melissa Riser; her grandchildren, Reed Phillips and Josie DeAnne Phillips; her bonus grandchildren: Logan, Lance, Landon, Emarie, and Paisley; great-grandchildren, Lottie and Landry; and her three nieces: Emilie Moseley, AnneMarie Collura, and Allison Blanchard. She was preceded in death by her father, Neil Riser, Sr.; stepfather, Herschel Gentry; and brother-in-law, Gary Martin.

Deanna was loved by so many. She had an outgoing personality and never met a stranger. She loved her sons with all her heart and was so very proud of the men they had become. She adored her grandchildren and loved spending time with them.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 3, 2023, from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Riser Funeral Home, Columbia. Additionally, a service to celebrate Deanna's life will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at the funeral home with Bro. Joe Aguillard officiating. Interment will follow at Welcome Home Cemetery, Grayson, Louisiana.

Serving as pallbearers will be Roy Dean Humphries, Logan Phillips, Landon Phillips, Lance Phillips, Chris Veuleman, and Mike Estes. Honorary pallbearers are Van Veuleman and Dwayne Humphries.
