David Leevester Carr

David Leevester Carr was born March 27, 1939, in Monroe, LA to the union of his parents Sylvester Carr and Rosie Lillie Byrd Carr and passed from this life December 1, 2023 in Jena, LA. David served in the Army for his country and saw many things. He loved his family, and his dog PeeWee. David always had a well kept yard, and a garden full of his favorite groceries. David loved taking walks and enjoying the outdoors. He enjoyed alot of things but listening to Paula sing was at the top of his list. David retired from pipelining and was a member of the Local Union 406. He was proud to be a Mason. David was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Ernest Carr, Cameron Carr, Ronald Carr, Horace Clifton Carr; sisters: Martha Carr and Ruth Carr. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Rita Moore Carr;  brothers, Junior Carr and Donald Carr; sisters, Audrey Odom, (Jr), Minnie Lindsey and Ruby Ingles, as well as a host of other family.

David's wishes were to be cremated and the family respected those wishes. No memorial service has been set at this time.
