Darla Faye Harrelson, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and great-grandmother, will be remembered for her strength, her fierce love, and her unmistakable personality. She was strong-willed and, as those who knew her best would say, a little hard-headed. She knew what she believed, stood her ground, and was never afraid to speak her mind.
Though she could be stern and stubborn, her family always knew that beneath that tough exterior was a heart full of love. She loved fiercely, protected fiercely, and cared deeply for the people she called her own. Her words, whether gentle or stern, often came from a place of wanting the very best for her family.
Darla was preceded in death by her parents, James Hall Graham and Barbara Juanita “Niter” Simmons; her brother, David “Bam Bam” Graham; her sisters, Georgia Diane Graham; her daughter, Danyelle Genette Coates; her granddaughter, Chelsea Danae Coates; her nephew; Jeremy Towell, and her niece, Katina “Nina” Harrelson.
She leaves behind her loving husband, Danny Harrelson; her sons, Dustin Harrelson (Annah) and Bo Harrelson; and her grandchildren, Tabatha Crawford (Logan), Rianne Coates (Alex), Randa Coates (Donovan), Brittany Schultz (Austin), Gabe Harrelson, Rainy Haney (Michael), Brayden Harrelson, Elijah Harrelson, Kendale Thompson, Easton Thompson, Danny Thompson and Liam Harrelson.
She was also blessed with many great-grandchildren who brought joy to her life: Remy Crawford, Adaline Crawford, Coralee Crawford, Daniel Coates, David Coates, Isabella Coates, Alana Coates, Hunter Coates, Stetson Schultz, Reed Beckley, Wren Beckley, and Rustin Beckley.
Darla is also survived by her siblings, Kimberly Graham, Jimmy Graham, Jamie Graham, Kenneth Graham, Kevin Graham, and Michael Graham, along with extended family and friends who will forever cherish her memory.
Darla’s legacy will live on through the family she loved so deeply. She taught those around her to be strong, to stand their ground, to love their family, and to never give up. She may have been hard-headed, but she was our hard-headed, loving, one-of-a-kind Darla—and she will be missed more than words can express.
Her love, her laughter, her stern words, and all the memories she created will remain in the hearts of her family forever.
Serving as pallbearers will be Logan Crawford, Derek Coates,Austin Schultz, Randall Graham, Johnathon Graham and Tyler Graham.
Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever a part of us.
