Funeral services for Daniel Vann will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 17, 2024 at Riser Funeral Home in Columbia, La with interment following in Kilpatrick Serenity Gardens in West Monroe, La., under direction of Riser Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Friday, February 16, 2024 at Riser Funeral Home from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

Daniel Adam Vann was born October 5, 1984 in Monroe, La., to the union of his parents,Adam Vann and Donna Moore Cassels and passed from this life in Tucson, Az.. after a tragic accident. Daniel had a laugh that would light up the room. He was a happy person, did his own thing and lived life to the fullest. He was a hard worker, loved fast cars, and was very much musically inclined, and saw the beauty in everything and most of the time captured it on camera. Daniel was very creative. He enjoyed making jewelry, clothes, and he even wrote a book. Daniel served in the Air Force for six years. He was a brave and courageous man, who stepped up to take on any task needed. He has been stationed in England, Guam, and New Mexico. Daniel received two achievement award metals and made solider of the month. Even at his passing he still tried helping others by offering to donate his organs.

Daniel was preceded in death by paternal papaw, Charles F Cassels; paternal grandmother, Lorraine Vann; maternal grandpa, Walter L Moore; maternal grandma, Elvy Moore Campbell; and his uncle, Michael Moore. Those left to cherish his memory are his parents, Donna Cassels (Randel); Adam Vann (Traci); brothers: David Vann (Le), Matthew Cassels (Kayla); his nephews and their mother, Scott, Samson, and Cady Cassels; uncles: Glen Vann, Paul Vann; grandma, Mackey Cassels; cousin, Jessica Howe; and a host of family and friends that will miss him dearly. 

Pallbearers include Will Stroud, Caleb Duke, Chase Cassels, Shelbi Cassels, Casey Cassels, and David Vann. Honorary pallbearer Matthew Cassels.
