Connie is survived by her loving husband of thirty years, Herbert "Herbie" Harris and her daughter, Erin Harris Jones and husband, Bryan; and her godmother who raised her for 35 years, Elaine Grimm. Connie was also a small business owner in Olla, LA for over five years. She also worked for the Centennial Cultural Center in Olla. Connie had such a large heart, she always felt the need to step-in and help anyone she could in the community. She loved her students and donated much of her time uplifting people of all ages. She loved her grandchildren, family, friends and God. If you ever witnessed my mother's laugh, then you know it was contagious. If you ever heard my mother say the words, I love you, know that when she loved, she loved with everything in her. If she believed in you, encouraged you or prayed for you, she loved you. If you witnessed my mother fight for you, know that she only fought for what she believed in, so she believed in you. If you witnessed my mother's strength and determination through life's triumphs, know that in the end she gave it her all. She may not be with us now but she is watching over us in heaven. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, any condolences or gifts may be sent to the family at 269 Cat Island Dr., Columbia, LA 71418.
