Claudine Wheeler Rice Head

Claudine Wheeler Rice Head was born on May 2, 1939 at Hebert, LA to the union of A.C. “Nick” Wheeler, SR and Gertie Dupree Wheeler. She passed from this life on June 5, 2023 at the Citizens Medical Center in Columbia following an extended illness. Claudine met the love of her life Richard Ruben Rice and together they had three daughters. After Richard's untimely death Claudine was blessed with a second marriage to Valrus Head. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and her beloved pets. She loved being outside working in her small garden, canning and cooking. She also loved sewing and doing crafts.

She was preceded in death by her two husbands, her beloved parents and her siblings, JR Wheeler, Cline Wheeler, Jerry Wheeler, Earline Johnston and Irene Clark.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Carla Lively (Danny), Beverly Wyles (Kevin) and Stacey Wheat (William) and a step daughter, Loraine Legg (Buck) her beloved grandchildren: Kylie Guerrero (Rudy), Ben Lively (Rachel), Hannah Wheeler (Blake), Christopher Wyles (Claire), Lillie Tingle (Brandon), Blake Wyles (Kristin and Jon Alger (Kristin); her great-grandchildren, Kassidy Timmons (Tabitha), Kennedy Varnell, Cody Lively, Blaine Lambert, Kase Lively, Addison Wheeler, Nathan Wheeler, Cameron Wyles, Livi Wyles, Kyla Rogers, Alexa Tingle, Jude Wyles, Charlie Grace Wyles, Duncan Wyles, Kayla Alger, Jolene Alger (Jo Jo) and her great great-grandchildren: Emery Carmicheal, Amelia Carmicheal and Rowen Lambert. She also leaves behind her living siblings, Lois Weatherford, Charles Wheeler, Roger Wheeler (Betty), Cliff Wheeler and Cloyce Wheeler.

To honor Claudine's wishes , she requested her family to have her cremated. No services are scheduled at this time.
