Charles Anthony Chisolm was born March 27, 1958 in Urania, Louisiana to the union of his parents, Sam Chisolm and Mary Cloud Chisolm and passed from this life on March, 24, 2024, at Hardtner Medical Center. Charlie was a member of the First Baptist Church, a volunteer fireman for fifteen years, and a truck driver for over fifty years. He enjoyed fishing, camping, or just being outside. Charlie was husband, father, peepaw, pop-pop, brother, and friend. He would talk to anybody who would listen, help anybody he could and he definitely never met a stranger. Charlie worked for a lot of logging companies and knew everybody. He enjoyed his classic rock music while going up and down the roads. Even though Charlie was hard-headed, he loved his family and his cat "Bandit". He loved his grandkids and was so proud of them.
Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, his paternal and maternal grandparents, as well as a host of extended family members. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of forty-seven years, Jenny Chisolm; his daughter, Sonya Spillers (Jason); his son, Charles Jefferson Chisolm (Mindy); his brother, Sammy Chisolm (Debbie); his sisters, Barbara Duff, and Shirley Pontiff; his grandchildren, Jacob, Addison, Rhyder, Madalynn, and Kayleigh.
Pallbearers will include Jacob Spillers, Bull Barnhill, Bradley McDowell, Robbie McDowell, Josh McAllister, Tony McManus, and Kiedan Chevalier. Honorary pallbearers are Sammy Chisolm, Pat McDougald, Shane Lasiter, Anders Thompson, Cory Dotson, and Ronnie Jones.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Olla First Baptist Church, the Louisiana Loggers Association, or the Olla Volunteer Fire Department.
