Chance Dewayne Grant

It is with broken hearts we announce the passing of Chance Dewayne Grant, of Olla, who left us on September 9, 2026. He was born August 12, 1978, to the union of his parents, Maurice Grant and Pamela Lisenby Grant.

Chance was a true Southern outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. He hunted whatever was in season and was at home in the woods. He even worked in the logging woods. Chance was artistic as well. He crafted beautiful rings which he gifted to family members and friends. When wearing them, they will be reminded of how he was always there when they needed him. He also enjoyed playing the guitar and working in the garden. He loved his family and he will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his mother, Pamela Grant and his grandparents: Johnny S. Grant and Johnnie Mae Grant, and James "Jeep" Lisenby and Elizabeth Lisenby.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Christie Hair Grant; his father, Maurice Grant; his sons, Corey Dewayne Grant and Creston Lee Grant; and his granddaughter, Willow Marie Grant. 

Memorial services will be held at a later date.
