Funeral Services for Carolyn Gough will be held Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at Columbia Heights Baptist Church in Columbia, Louisiana with Kristy Dunn, Jeff Masters, and Dane McGuffee bringing the message and sharing stories. Interment will follow at Roberts Cemetery, Kelly, LA, under the direction of Riser Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at Riser Funeral Home in Columbia from 5 PM until 8 PM.

Carolyn Rose Hatten Gough was born October 8, 1939 in Urania, Louisiana to the union of her parents William Curtis Hatten and Alice Newsom Hatten and passed from this life July 12, 2024 at Rapides Regional Medical Center. Carolyn was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved her family, Jesus, and playing the piano. Sis. Carolyn was a praying woman, a active member of her community, and a expert level biscuit maker. She spent many hours playing and singing at the Nursing Home, teaching classes at the prison, and spreading the word of her Jesus. Carolyn was a Nurses assistant for years before she became a Teacher. She also enjoyed traveling, and quilting.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Huey Gough, and their son, Curtis "Slick" Gough. Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Wyndell Gough, Michael Gough (Christy); daughters, Toni Gough Davis (Rev. Dr. Scott), Linda Gough DeLoach (Joey); grandchildren: Scottia Davis Fulks (Neal), Scott Davis Jr., Heather Cox (Ryan), Christopher DeLoach, Austin Gough (Hannah-Kate), Hana Gough, Harley Gough Saulsbury (Jase), Lindsey Mayo, Tyler Mayo, Garrett Mayo, and Colton Mayo; great-grandchildren: Timbre' Fulks, Harmony Fulks, Benjamin Fulks, Samuel Fulks, Aniston Cox, Grayson Saulsbury, and Pete Saulsbury.

Pallbearers include Christopher DeLoach, Austin Gough, Neal Fulks, Jase Saulsbury, Scott A. Davis, Jr., and Ryan Cox. Honorary pallbearers are Garrett Mayo, Colton Mayo, and Tyler Mayo.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Faith Church Building Fund in honor of Carolyn Gough.
