Boyd Eugene Tannehill was born on October 3, 1932 at Tallulah, Louisiana to the union of his parents Frank B. Tannehill and Viola Lee Tannehill. He passed from this life on September 10, 2026 at the Haven Nursing Center in Columbia at the age of ninety-three years. He was preceded in death by his parents and by his wife, Ruth Tannehill and his daughter Annie Childress and his son , Eddie Tannehill.

He served in the United States Army and became a Minister of the Gospel pastoring in numerous Baptist Churches in our area but most importantly always conveyed the Love of Christ to all those around him. To all who knew and loved him he will be sorely missed..

Left to  cherish his memory is his grandchildren, Jay and Samantha Kimball;  and his great grand children: Kimberly Hair, Mackenzie and Joshua Samuels, Rider Kimball, Rhett Kimball, Casey Hair and Raeghan Kimball; and Great-great Jamie and Georgia Doyle and Skylar and Millie Samuels.
