Bret Anthony Larson

Bret Anthony Larson was born in Lone Star, Texas on September 8, 1964 to the union of his parents, James Warren Larson and Joan Elizabeth Parker Larson, and he passed from this life on Monday, May 31, 2021, following a brief illness.

Visitation will be held at Hebert United Methodist Church, 12 until 2 PM, Saturday, June 5, 2021. Funeral services begin at 2 PM at the church with Rev. Robbie Cooke officiating and Randy Hatten delivering the eulogy. Burial will follow at Welcome Home Cemetery, Grayson, Louisiana under the direction of Riser and Son Funeral Home, Columbia.

Bret was a faithful member of the Hebert United Methodist Church and served on the Board of Trustees Committee. Bret had a great sense of humor, loved his dog, Casey, and liked going to Sonic every day. He was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Amy, and brother Barry Larson.

Those left to cherish his memory include his son, Wesley Larson; his two sisters: Liz Hatten and husband, Randy, and Verdye Lackey and husband, Charles; his brother, Brian Larson and wife, Beverly; numerous nieces and nephews; and caregivers: Katie Cooke, Genie Smead, and Narvin Young.

Serving as pallbearers will be Randy Hatten, Charles Lackey, Chris Hatten, Rhett Ellerbe, Lane Lackey, and Brian Larson.
