Bonnie Evelyn Fisher

Funeral services for Bonnie Evelyn Fisher will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, September 22, 2025, from the chapel of Riser and Son Funeral Home in Columbia, LA, with Bro. Shane Duke officiating. Interment will follow at Welcome Home Cemetery, Grayson, LA. The family will have a visitation at the funeral home on Sunday, September 21, 2025, from 5 PM until 8 PM.

Bonnie was born in Columbia, LA, on August 29, 1939, and she passed from this life September 18, 2025, in Jackson, MS, after a sudden illness. SHe was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Marshall Fisher; her parents, Henry Thompson and Gladys Peacock Thompson; twin sister, Betty Faye Douglas; brother James Thompson; and sister-in-law, Rosie Thompson. 

Bonnie was a joy to be around and was loved dearly by her family and friends. She attended Columbia Heights Baptist Church. Bonnie retired from Entergy where she had worked in the Columbia office for many years, greeting customers with a sweet smile and helping them in any way she could. She loved her work family at Entergy. They often benefited from her generosity when she would bake one of her famous cakes. She was a wonderful cook but baking cakes was her specialty. She loved spending time with her family. She was a loving mother and a doting grandmother and she will be greatly missed.  

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, William Fisher (Kim) of Grayson; grandson, Christopher Fisher of Grayson; brothers: Felton Thompson (Ora Mae) of Mountain View, AR, and Elton Thompson (Lori) and Bobby Thompson all of Coos Bay, OR. She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews.
