Betty Louise Proffer

Funeral Services for Betty Proffer will be held 1:00 PM, Monday, June 29, 2026, at Olla Pentecostal Church on Hwy 165 with Bro. Christ officiating. Interment will follow at Chickasaw Cemetery under the direction of Riser Funeral Home. Visitation will be held before the service from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM. 

Betty Louise LaCaze Proffer was born in Alvin, Texas, on July 4, 1946, and passed from this life at her residence in Olla on June 24, 2026. Betty was a devoted Christian and wife. She loved her family and the time she spent with them. Betty was a secretary at Olla Pentecostal Church for over forty-five years. She loved drinking Dr Pepper, getting her hair done, and traveling.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Truman; and three siblings. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Melissa Proffer; grandchildren, Laurel Goodman and Cole Baum; great-grandchildren: Jada Fatheree, Noah Ferguson, Hakan Ferguson, Micah Goodman, and Piper Grace; and a host of other family and friends. 

Serving as pallbearers will be Cole Baum, Darrell Proffer, Jerry Lynn Glidewell, Stevie Proffer, Dustin Crain, and Heath Calhoun. Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Crain, Noah Ferguson, Hakan Ferguson, and Micah Goodman.
