Graveside funeral services for Betty Faye (Gordy) Carr, age 81 of Columbia will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday January 13, 2025 at the Fellowship Cemetery west of Columbia. Friends and relatives may begin to gather at the cemetery at 12:50 PM. 

Betty was born on February 7, 1944 at Columbia, LA  to the union of her parents, Wilson Miller Gordy and Addria Anna Sanders Gordy. She passed from this life on January 11, 2026 at the Ochsner Medical Center  in Monroe . She was preceded in death by her parents; her twin brother: Eddie Ray Gordy and by her great-granddaughter: Olivia Pearl Hogg. She was an employee of Haven Nursing Center for nineteen years. She was a loving wife, mother and grand mother. She loved flowers  and butterflies and  was an animal lover. 

Survivors include: her husband of sixty-three years and the love of her life Larry Carr; two sons: Kevin Lee Carr, Sr (Debbie)  and Gregory Wayne Carr (Jan); daughter: Kimberly Ann Carr; her sisters: Rita Rohling, Judy Bryant, Kathy  and William Masters, Carolyn and Ricky Stapleton; and her beloved grandhildren: Kevin Lee Carr, JR, Kristin NaShay Alger ( Jon ), Kaleb Wayne Carr (Jessy), Keith Allen McClain, Elizabeth Diane Hogg ( Josh ), Turner Joel Carr (Jessie) and Alan McClain and ten great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers include Kevin Carr, JR, Keith Allen McClain, Kaleb Carr, Turner Carr, Jon Alger and Timothy Stapleton.

Honorary pallbearers is James Trent.
