Belinda Marie "Bit" Taylor was born on September 20, 1958 in Monroe, Louisiana to the union of her loving parents, John and Dorothy Finley, and went to her heavenly home peacefully on March 2, 2026 in her home in Olla, Louisiana surrounded by loved ones.
Bit was loved by all who knew her--not because she tried to be perfect but because she was beautifully and unapologetically real. She made a career out of helping others, serving her community as an EMT. When not working on the ambulance, you could find her by the side of the love of her life and best friend, husband Kim Taylor. They owned "The Airbrush Shop" in Olla where she supported Kim's artistry and was so proud of all his creative works. She loved to travel (particularly taking cruises with her sisters), riding motorcycles, and spending time with her grandchildren. She especially looked forward to the Fourth of July, where she would get to spend time with her family surrounded by all her favorite people. Her house wasn't just a home--it was a gathering place where people found comfort. She ran a revolving door of loud laughter and hungry teenagers who all affectionately called her mama--not just her own. She found joy watching birds and peace in the gentle song of windchimes on the porch. In her final moments, she rejoiced in the fact that she would be returning to the embrace of her mother whom she deeply loved and missed terribly.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father, John and Dorothy Finley, her mother and father in law, Mollie and Lewis Taylor, her brothers in law, Buster Taylor and Dee Taylor, her adored pet Hanna Belle, and several fondly remembered grandparents, aunts and uncles.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Kim Taylor, and three children: Joshua Taylor (Aimee), Jonathan Taylor (Summer), and Dana Marie Taylor, her two older sisters, Linda "Tweety" Tarver (Pat) and Glenda Elizabeth "Sis" Weeks (John), her beloved grandchildren, Noah Lawson Freeman, Jonas Everett Taylor, Hailee Marie Taylor, Jaxton Alan Reeves, Graesyn James Reeves, and Skyler Mazleigh Taylor, and a host of nieces and nephews who all loved her dearly.
Honorary Pallbearers are: Dennis Woodruff, Chris Woodward, Darren Woodward, Kris Foy and Jake Keen.
