Barbie Rae Blackwell Shipp was born on December 1, 1964 to the union of her beloved parents, John Dorsey Blackwell and Mary Murphy Blackwell. She passed from this life on Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at the Union General Hospital in Farmerville. Barbie was preceded in death by her parents and by her brother, Steve Thomas Blackwell and her sister Phyllis Ann Blackwell, and her fur babies, Baby Girl and Hooch.
Barbie was a Care Giver to those sick in her community and she loved animals, her last dog being Chico.

Left to cherish her memory is her son, John Shipp (Shanda) Hillsboro, West Viginia and her daughter Danielle Shipp, Downsville; her sister, Shirley Wall (Norwood) Downsville and her grand daughter, Memory Faith Shipp and a host of cousins and other family members.

Memorial service to be held at a later time.
