April Lashay Breland

Funeral Services for April Breland will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, April 29, 2026 at Clarks Pentecostal Church, with Bro. Jeff Masters officiating and interment following at Crossroads Cemetery under the direction of Riser Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Tuesday at Clarks Pentecostal Church from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. 

April Lashay Breland was born June 4, 1980 in Monroe, Louisiana to the union of her parents, Stuart Breland and Wanda Sanders and passed from this life on April 25, 2026 at the University Medical Center in New Orleans. 

April lived a simple life and lived it her way. She was happy, fun-loving, the best secret keeper, and you could always count on her. April enjoyed listening to music, having a good time, and being with good company. She enjoyed traveling, cooking for her kids, and spending time with her family. She enjoyed watching sunsets, and cross stitching. April has made a lot of memories but her all time favorite was dying Easter Eggs with her family. She looked forward to it every year.

April was preceded in death by her maternal grand-father, Grady Sanders and her fur-baby, LuLu Rider.

Those left to cherish her memory are her mother, Wanda Sanders; two daughters, Mackenzie Rider and Madison Rider; bonus daughter, Marah McCranie; brother, Kevin Breland (Misty); grandchildren, Karsen Nelson, Aardyn Rider; bonus grandchildren, Hunter Carr, Bryson McCranie, and Koltlee McCranie; her bonus sister/best friend, Veronica Welch, as well as a host of family and friends. 

Pallbearers will include, Dylan Breland, Jayden Stapleton, Joe Rider, Easy Rider, Dylan Nordstrom, and Chris McCranie. Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Wayne Rider and Kevin Breland.
