Funeral services for Annette Lafferty Sikes, age 71, will be held at 3 PM, Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at Cross Roads Baptist Church, Grayson, Louisiana with Bro. Shane Duke officiating. Burial will follow at Welcome Home Cemetery, Grayson, under the direction of Riser and Son Funeral Home, Columbia. The family will hold a visitation on Monday, August 16, 2021 at the church from 5 PM until 8 PM.
Annette Lafferty Sikes was born July 3, 1950, in Columbia, Louisiana to the union of her parents, Horace Franklin Lafferty and Eula Mae Watson Lafferty, and she passed from this life August 13, 2021, at Citizen's Hospital in Columbia. Annette was very active and kept herself busy working around the house and in her yard in her flower garden. She enjoyed crocheting, fishing, and spending time with her family. Annette was dearly loved by her family and will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Amy Duncan; granddaughter, Virgil Mae Tucker; grandson, Michael Wade Tucker, Jr.; sisters: Louise Green, Evie Mae Robertson, Abby Brown, Gaynell Duncan, and Leta Bell Lingerfelt; and brother, Jessie Lafferty.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sons: Roy Michael Duncan and Tony Edward Duncan; daughter, Tina Mae Duncan (Willis Davis); brothers: Frank Lafferty (Ann), Horace Lee Lafferty, Joe Lafferty (Ann), sisters: Mary Jones, Sadie Fields, Thelma Nation, and Janette Taylor, grandchildren: Kacey (Chris) Guinn, Brigette Lincecum, Dustin (Bonnie) Spratt, Ethan (Amber) Spratt, Bradley Spratt, Dalton Hatten, Lynn Annette (Gabe) Lincecum, Thomas Duncan, and Tater Davis; great-grandchildren: DJ Pauly, Harmony Guinn, Elissa and James Lloyd, David and Braxton Lincecum, Tucker Norrell, Ally, Bentley, and Jacob Spratt, Gabby and Sophie Spratt, Enzo Hatten, and Nevaeh Lincecum; siblings: Frank (Ann) Lafferty, Horace Lee Lafferty, Joe (Ann) Lafferty, Mary Jones, Sadie Fields, Thelma Nation, Janette Taylor; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
The family would like to give special thanks to Jackie Sims and Dr. Randy Head.
Serving as pallbearers will be George Duncan, Jerimy Lee, Joshua Harrison, Shane May, Festus Harrison, and Willis Davis. Honorary pallbearers are Glen Barnhill, DJ Guinn, and Thomas Duncan.
