Andrew Harlin Powell

Andrew H. Powell was born in Shreveport, Louisiana, on February 13, 1963, to the union of his parents, William David Powell and Syble James Powell, and he passed away June 13, 2026, at his home in Kelly, Louisiana.

Andy was a happy and kind man who fought disability every day of his life. He loved listening to music with the volume as high as it would go!! He was well known for being on the side of the road flagging a ride to Pearl and Sids or Speedy Macs. It earned him the nickname of White Liner from his brother. Andy felt like he needed to go to the store every day to get a daily coke, scratch offs, a sweet tea, lottery tickets, or tobacco. The sight of him on the side of the road with his thumb up is one we will all remember. He will be missed. Andy was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, David Powell. 

Those left to cherish his memory are his brother, BJ Powell (Debra); his sister, Vicki Dicky, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held at 12:00 PM, Saturday, June 20, 2026, at Riser Funeral Home, Columbia, LA. There will be a visitation for family and friends, prior to the service, from 10:00 AM until time of service at 12:00 PM, at the funeral home.
