On January 28, 2024, Alice Debra Hodges, always known by family and friends as "Debbie" left her life here on this side of eternity.  Debbie was born on November 27, 1951 at Columbia, Louisiana. She married the love of her life Daniel Lewis Hodges, Jr.  in 1971 and from this union was born their daughter, Adrienne Sage Hodges Steele.

She was a graduate of Our Lady of Holy Cross College in New Orleans. Debbie was a very Civic oriented person. She was always involved in the community. From Civic Associations and Local Professional Chapters, Debbie served and volunteered for numerous organizations. She retired from the State of Louisiana after working as a consultant for over 10 years. In 2003 she returned to Caldwell Parish to assist in the care of her beloved little brother, Kyle Stringer.

The greatest role Debbie played in life was that of a wife, mother, daughter, grandmother and sister. She was a lover of Walking Horses and her Afghan Hounds, along with many other dogs and animals.  She placed many champions in dog shows throughout the state and country.

She is preceded in death by her mother Urcine Brandin Walker.  Her father Clyde Stringer and both her maternal and paternal grandparents, Grace and Urcin Brandin and Alice Talley Stringer.
